Funny how peoples perceptions are different.

I didnt have a long term knowledge of Bill and only met him on one occasion.

He was great with/to both me and my father, our first NHRA sanctioned event with the Drag Pak.

He made an effort to handle our provisional liscences with our fistfulls and garbage bag transported paperwork, timeslips and medical. crinkled and in disorder.

He made an effort to help us and was truly kind, to both myself and my Father, my father even made comment on several occasions about how well he treated him the 1/2 hr or so they spent crouched in the trailer sorting the mess we had brought him.

I dont know of any other perceptions, I didnt have dealings with him but on one occasion, so for me no others matter, but Id like to thank him for his help, kindness and assistance in getting us set to run at Atlanta , and Id like to apologize for the 13 quarts of Royal Purple 10w we left on his starting line, as well as assorted bits of engine, I was looking for a mop I truly was...........

Enjoy the Retirment.......

If anyone knows how long he will remain at Div 2 , I have a gift Id like to send him for his retirment, something to remeber our gratitude.

A piece of that very engine left on the track that day......

Good grief, have you ever thought about becoming a priest… a rabbi… perhaps even an Islamic Imam?

I am reminded of those that to this day, keep a bust of Joe Stalin on their mantle.

Jim Wahl, I would like to read a comment from you.

Question Re: Hey, div2 guys, the king is gone!

Any word yet of who will be the new DD?
We have a couple of races left to bring the new DD up to speed before next year.

I think the time is right for me to run for DD. I have experience working for NHRA Tech, when at DeSoto Speedway, we won tech crew of the year twice in our first two years. I know alot of the technical personal already. They are a great bunch. Of course, all the NHRA people are really a bunch of nice people to begin with, I really mean that.

If I was to become a DD, I know that alot of people will be rather upset as I attempt to bring in different personal into the different departments, some well known individuals and some unheard of individuals.

The list would include, Woodro Josey, Billy Nees, Albert Einswine, X-Techman, Don Himes, any true lover of Stock/Super Stock, Bullwinkle (he is honest), James Perrone, Ed O'Brien, Ed Fernandez, and Jack McCarthy (for unbiased opinions) and any Cajun Cook.

Hey Bill Holt, even though I did not agree with you sometimes, thank you for your dedication and time, I really appreciate it, thank you.
