I went through this about a year and a half ago. Drs said if you have to have cancer, this is the one to have. My thyroid was removed, 2 tiny spots on it and 1 tiny spot at the start of the lymph node. I was in the hospital over night and home the next day. I had no voice over the holidays which was fine with my wife. Nuclear followups after that, with some crazy pills until you're given the all clear sign. So now I take a pill to replace the function of my thyroid daily and life goes on.
I know not all cases are alike though,,so good luck Donnie and take care. Danny Durham cancer survivor. |

A positive attitude and a good sense of humor mixed with all the well wishes from the racing family will get you through the toughest of times and I speak from experience ! Good luck Donnie and hoping for a speedy recovery !
