Talking Re: over length in north carolina

What is wrong in using shorter (smaller) rigs? They worked fine back in the day. There is only so much room in the pits of a race track. Wouldnt it be less expensive for everyone just to line everyone up and have them drop thier pants to see who has the longest "Rig" !?

Looking to enter the Z-max national and possibly race the IHRA Rockingham race, but this all has me second guessing. I've got a diesel pusher motrhome with a GVWR of 24,800 and an enclosed trailer with a GVWR of 4531 (two 5200lb axles). Length is 66.5' bumper to bumper. Do I have anything to worry about? Do I need to stop at weight stations? Thanks

Terry the shorter rigs are parked right next to the $300 stock cylinder heads, the stock valve springs, stock water pumps, Etc Etc.
