Multiple complaints were made to the starter and the comment "we drug it and scraped it this morning" was made.

5 post wow. If it was an IHRA race the keyboards would be smokin.

I'll bet they are using that summer time VHT.

Byron,

As I've stated in the past on this forum, the same thing happened in Brainerd five years ago. I have not been to a National Event since, and didn't renew my NHRA Membership. They probably don't think they miss me, but my membership over the years could have bought them that barrel of traction compound they apparently need this weekend.

This is why I will run a slow automatic stocker if I ever start racing, lol.

Seriously though, sad to hear they're not making the lanes equally good. Makes up for some very unfair racing.

Is there a difference between "VHT track bite" and "VHT PJ1"? We have seen what we belive is a difference since our local tracks started using the barrells that say PJ1 on them. If its re-formulated, is this NHRA's idea to slow cars down? Just wondering, not saying that there is a difference, just asking. Maybe its nothing more than how its mixed. Thanks.

A another note, sure looks like it a great time for the AHRA! When NHRA cant do things right or treat the racers right, its time for something new!

Pat,

Byron's complaint stems from Friday's elimination run. Apparently, Doug Holder hooked well enough in the right lane to wheelie and crush the pan to cause the delay you mentioned. But that was the right lane, and it happened today.
