Well the question was quite broad. Stock, SS or Comp. Could be over $100K.

Less if you have access to the right tools, are a bit lucky, and you work your *** off. I've been racing off and on for 20 years now. It can be fun but sometimes can be an all-day plane crash. Generally speaking, I would say you would double the cost each time you move up the ladder as you indicated in your question. The high dollar options in SS from a "B" engine to an "A" engine could get really expensive. That would include shaft rockers, 55mm or 60mm camshafts, the really high end rods & pistons, sheet-metal intake, Stainless headers. You'll need an "A" engine if you want to dispose of me (once I get back on the track of course). Good luck! ![]()
