There has never been a camaro I liked from day 1. This is the same. Maybe color or trim or something can be done to improve it. White with orange stripes on the hood? They sure werent trying to "recreate" a camaro of the past.

Personally, I disagree with the above stance, and favor the FoMoCo & ChryCo thinking of a new spin on something old...but then again, GM didn't ask me! LOL!! While I would've favored a true retro looking Camaro, my younger brother in his early-mid 20s (8 years younger than I) said he actually like the "newer" looking Camaro...so I guess GM styling/marketing was *sorta* right, right?!

If someone wanted to run one in stock where would they get one?
Also since you wouldnt run the engine without having it redone who would do that? Is it for a select few?? Just curious.....

I remember that at a car show a number of years ago that GM had a concept car which was a cross between a 53-56 corvette and a Nomad wagon-it looked cool as hell.
Still to me the problem is that that all of these cars have price tags that only well-off baby boomers or their spoiled kids can afford. The reason the kids are into imports for high performance is that they are cheaper. The big three really messed up there-it took them forever to build a cheap, good looking car. But finally I'm starting to see kids on campus with Cobalts. |

Where I work, there are several young engineers who are driving new Ford Mustang GTs. I don't get the impression they're disappointed with them either...

i have not seen the camaro up close [ it has been around some though ]but i did see the new dodge at goodguys saturday and it is ok,just ok..it looks like a heavy charger, the guy who owned it said it was lazy but it had a nice paint job and ride was rough[ his words ] at the ford tent they had a new gt 500 stang.now that was nice, way too much money, but nice, the rap on the dodge was the lack of a stick shift, but some fans liked it anyhow..i think people will buy and race the camaro because its a camaro[what car has won more sportsman races then the camaro thru the years ].price will make or break all of these new hot rods..denny
