Re: Divisional Schedules
There is a good possibility that Redding will have a natl open in May. That would be the only chance to set a record

Re: Divisional Schedules
I guess it’s too much to ask Sonoma Raceway , centrally located and great facilities to get a divisional race! Damn shame!

Re: Divisional Schedules
[QUOTE=Barry Polley;704213]Agree Justin!
They don?t advertise ( at least I didn?t hear it ) for divisional races. Two wheel standers, two jet cars or a couple of Fuel exhibition cars would add to the stands. They did it for years and it worked. They have time to run the super class shootouts as a bonus but that does nothing for the fans. And I?m not dinging my super buddies either. 🤷 I didn?t see a car count for BF? How can you complain if you don?t attempt to pack the stands? I?m running out of time and places to race so the writing is on the wall out here.. Moive to TN there are 19 dragstrips within 5 hours of where I live north of Nashville. Bowling Green has 5 Stock and Super Stock Combos a year with a purse of $2.000. I Suspect the Purse will go up next year when PMR opens another shop here

Re: Divisional Schedules
I completely understand there are multiple layers to the “behind the scenes” of getting a drag racing event to exist. Permits, emergency staff, track staff; etc.
I just thought it was fascinating that D3 and D5 already have a date set for next year and it was shared. Logistically speaking, I believe it’d be nice to know the next season’s schedule BEFORE the last race of the current season. Why not release it after the Nationals are set? I know that’s released in July, but is August or September toooo soon?

Re: Divisional Schedules
A national open at Bakersfield before the Winter nationals would out draw our current open in Fallon Nevada about 20 to 1. Add the opportunity to set records , my opinion is this would be wildly successful. As it is we only have Fallon to set a record in D-7, not very conducive to performance at 4000? base elevation in middle of the desert in June🤮
