I agree a 100% with you guys on Cours fuel. There is a thread right now discussing getting "new" blood to the sport of stock, then NHRA throws a young out during eliminations for fuel, wtf? Maybe they should asked him for another sample or bring fuel up. I'm not there and don't know the story but it sure seems wrong to me.

A question I'm asking myself is, is there an illegal fuel that will give you a consistency advantage over the approved fuels???? Not that, that has happened here but is that the reason they are policing this? I've never ran alcohol before but from what I know its not a legal fuel for S/SS but I've been told its very consistent compared to regular "gas". Again, I have no knowledge of this particular situation but I wouldn't put it pass someone from trying it at a race that doesn't run class. Just thinking out loud.

Question----- If you fail to pass fuel check, can you appeal and have them recheck the sample or draw another sample right there and then ?

The pisser is that I am waiting to watch NHRA drag racing on ESPN2 right now

Fuel check has been a s#*show at lots of events, and I can say with confidence that the fuel test machine was most likely not properly sanitized or neutralized, whatever you wanna call it. Slightly similar event, we were at Belle Rose for the Sportsnaionals and after winning the first round of the CIC race we were DQ'd for being too light; however we had made over five passes that week and were VERY HEAVY! When my brother told them that it was impossible he was told to start his car and leave immediately. Pissed off, once I found out, I went to the scales and lost it on the official and he then, all the sudden, had an epiphany noticing that lots of cars were weighing light and called all "wining cars" back to weight. Don't you know, everybody weighed in right! Just my 2cents.

I know this saying is old ---------BUT ISN'T THIS THEIR JOB ? I mean if the car passed fuel check each time and then fails wouldn't it send up a red flag. I guess it is at the discretion of the official. WHAT A FEELING OF POWER !
