It's run like Comp Eliminator. Handicapped off the Index, first to the finish line wins.

Question Re: "Live From" NHRA 4-Wide National

It looks to me as if several of the "combo" cars didn't show up for "class" eliminations! Jim

Other than having another time shot it would be a waste of time and your equipment if they did show up.

depends on who gets there first.......without a red lite.....and hopefully without getting hp. So if you can get there first and can lift ,so be it.........Kinda like qualifying (lifting at the 1,000......lol

Just another example of how nhra is screwing the class racer. The class trophy and lunch money for the single winner will now be given to the racer who is willing to spend the most money on his or her car to make it the fastest car (on it's index) at the track that weekend. I find it degrading and very inconciderate treatment for those who have busted their *** to build a competitive race car. Although I firmly believe that Sundays race is far more important than a class win, there are many racers who thrive on their collection of class win trophys. This latest enhancement is a huge slap in the face to Joe Classracer.

Well I am sure most of you know who won class, although many did lift there were more than I thought went fast enough to triggering a review. I had no chance against Dave. I had some issues with the run against Jordan in the first round of class, even though I won the car was still off. Against Dave I was back to my normal race mode to see if the car was okay, everything is fine.

I am not here to bash any new car or driver, it is what it is. The car is cool and I am happy he has his first class win with his new car. Dave's a great guy and I couldn't be happier for him.

I was very happy two see Iacono win class. I heard that him and Dempsey are on good terms again, always nice to see that at the races.

The track for super stock's first round was still not as good as some drivers would like. Brian Oakes spun bad for the loss. For me the track has been great but I did here some are still having issues.

The A/SA was a tough one, its so hard not to make the wrong move. The final between Jim Boburka and Gary Richard was a tough one. The old cars can't afford to get power and obviously the new ones don't want to get power. I know many are upset with lifting, but I think the race between Jim and Gary ended well with Jim taking the win. Both Drivers are class acts and is why I love this sport. The people make this sport and I am sure most would agree, its why we race.

Joe Lisa was dq’d for an aluminum driveshaft. There was teardown, not engines though. Carbs, throttle bodies, driveshafts and head numbers. All class winners went to teardown.
.
Here are to more in car camera runs. I tried to get Jason Line but I was so busy with my car I could not get to him before he ran. Chuck Veach and Monty Bogan are the featured drivers today. I hope to get Jason Line and Pete Biondo tomorrow.

..........

When Joe Lisa got DQ'd it moved Dick Kincaid out of a heads-up race with Jack Zimmerman and Wallace Dent into a heads-up race with Michael Iacono.

Good break for Dick, tough break for Wallace.
