Nitro costs us $25 a gallon on the open market But $40 to buy at a national. We have no choice so we buy it from NHRA. If the nitro was around 50%, our 1000' ets wouldn't be much quicker then the alcohol dragsters. The fuel cost isn't a killer for us with just 1 day of qualifying. Recertifying so much stuff every year gets costly though. |

Sure, 50% would be A LOT less violent. But it's not a good idea. Because again, 50% with a supercharger (TF) compared to 95% without a supercharge (A/Fuel) would sound different, but the ETs and speed would be nearly identical. So then you're having to slow down TAD which isn't fair to them. 99.99% of nitro teams are fine with the current setup. We like just about everything we're doing with the power, 1000', duel mags, 14-71 super charger, etc. |
