What I do know is that the Collector Tethers that I ordered came on time and fit perfectly. Fitting perfectly might not sound like much, but I had very specific dimensions with no real margin for error. Moreover, I took them on an airplane with me to Cali, so if they were wrong I was pretty much screwed.

I think this has been the most overblown deal I've ever seen. It's not like they're saying you have to buy new ones every 2 years, it's a one time deal. Mufflers were worth fighting about, this is not, IMO.
I'm surprised they let you through security with those, Dan! Lol!

After all of these years I'm going to have to change the strap steel and bolt's that came with the Headers ? Nothing has ever fallen off ! With 2 straps on each collector bolted front and rear, what do I have to add to make them Happy ? Tethers ? I'm old bear with me !...John

I was walking through the staging lanes when Super Comp was staged....Apparently they do not have to have header teathers....Very few, I would say one in ten, have teathers. Guess rules are different for different classes. Please note, I did not see any collectors on any super comp cars that were not secured properly.....I'm just saying....no teathers.

I am down to crunch time trying to finish my wagon. Our chevelle needs a set of tethers. I don't like be hassled in tech therefore I try and do as I am told.
I called Scott with collector tethers last night 7 o'clock my time. He took my measurements. I will have a set waiting on me in South Georgia I really appreciate him. There's nothing better than a company makin sure you get your stuff.
If you are on the fence still like I was and don't want no hassles collector tethers can eliminate that.

What Rick asked....were the collectors welded to the primary tubes? If so they don't require tethers, if they just had the interfacing tabs with bolts/nuts or springs I'd love to know how D7 is so different than everywhere else (geography excluded of course)??
