Ken: not to push any buttons or anything but I just saw this on NHRA's website....

"Lucas Oil Sportsman update (6:15 p.m.): Due to the water in the pits and the troubles it has created in getting cars out of trailers, most of the Lucas Oil Sportsman classes will have to be put on hold until a yet-to-be-determined time. The only Lucas Oil categories that will run Saturday will be Top Alcohol Dragster, Top Alcohol Funny Car, and Comp. The other categories are in wait-and-see mode; if conditions are good enough, they will begin making passes Sunday. If conditions don't allow for racing Sunday, action will be pushed to Monday"

Freddie,

Your not pushing my buttons, I am well aware of the schedule and why we will be racing on Sunday and most likely Monday. I posted the picture of the schedule and assumed everyone know that this was NHRA's plan.

With all do respect Chuck, the schedule has be up for hours and they have been announcing their plans all day.

If I here anything new I will post asap.

It's been said over and over again......spectators don't buy tickets to see any sportsman categories run....and NHRA agrees......We are expendable and can be manipulated to suit their needs.....I love racing, and realize they have a tough time here......BUT........

While you may be right about most spectators, I for one, didn't go to Gainesville because the sportsman guys were probably going to get rained out. Unfortunetly I was right, but you can bet there are some of us who would lot rather watch ya'll run than the SAME PRO guys. Hope to see you in Charlotte.

Butch: same here... I usually go every year on Friday, decided to stay home this year, was thinking about going Saturday, but could care less about the pro show.. would rather see Super Stock and Comp personally...

Maybe if they run the sportsman on Monday I will come up....

Outhouse rumor has it that we might....might (if that's even useable here...) run one Q 'er after all the show tomorrow, and maybe 1 st rd. tomorrow night.

I am remaining hopeful. That's all I'm gonna say.......

I will not get out the box tomorrow, thanks to Worner ! Wait till I see you again !

I waited most of the morning in the parking lot to see if stock/super stock was going to run.After 3pm it was still raining a bit,then found out only the Pro's and alky would run.I went home.

Kenny, the worst rumor that I heard was that you would not have any Q runs, but, instead random pairing for first round...How do you like that for a crazy rumor!!! The pits are the worst have I seen them in a long, long time.....Good luck tomorrow guys.

You and Bill are in a muddy, swimming pool down by the tree line. Good luck this weekend.
