In my Canadian Border city, most go down for elective surgeries. Columbia Mall in Grand Forks has become a ghost town because the good deals offered are not as plentiful as they were, thus keeping Canadians at home. Hotel deals at par are gone too. My country will soon be providing Dentacare and is phasing in Pharmacare starting with the Diabetic meds I am taking. My sojourns to the states are now pretty well limited to the Brainerd National Event and my odd trip to Lambeau Field.

I always make it a point to ask my Canadian friends about their healthcare system (compared to ours). I have ask a good many. The answer is always the same. "It's got it faults, but we sure don't want to trade ya" . That tells me all I want to know
