Good morning all - I really wish I could tell you folks that this AM everything is OK here in the mountains but the truth is the only thing that is good is the fact that it isn't raining and the Sun is out. Seems there are a lot of unhappy campers this morning - mostly about the ladder issues. We had plenty of time to get the race in last evening but it just didn't happen.Even with that there was some good racing in the dark ( don't get the wrong impression - they have very good lights here ) .

The schedule calls for racing to resume @ 9am .

One last thing - I believe somewhere out there Kaylyn is smiling ........

Good morning everyone, I few more shots from yesterday. Weather is about the same with showers coming in later. I will be back later with more photos and video riding through the pits.

Perhaps we should ditch random pairing and just qualify naturally for 1st round when there are less than 128 cars, which there will usually be at an open. The all-run format probably led to the random pairings rule in order to ease the burden on the lanes officials when there used to be tons of cars.

Remember that our division director is still learning. And our division is severely short handed, which is a story for another thread...

Apparently that’s how its done in D2 and the D2 ladder guy is here to help the new D1 staff 🤷*♂️

We ran D2 National Open in Reynolds earlier this year and we ran off of Q sheet.

Never seen that in the D2 NO’s I’ve run. Always a ladder from qualifying prior to RD1.

Finished.........finally !!!!!!!! In Stock it was Ryan Horensky at his home track winning a great heads-up A/SA final with Alli Doll - that race alone was worth the price of admission. It had it all - old car against new FI car - male against female - red against black and on and on .

In Super Stock it was the same - old school Monte Carlo with Jeff Tripp as the pilot against Anthony Bongiovanni in his mighty Cobra Jet with Jeff getting the win .

Tomorrow we start all over ..............

I can not get off of work to be at Numidia on Friday for qualification. I can be there on Saturday morning. If weather continues to degrade will I be able to get at least one qualifier on Saturday? I have been here before and been forced into first round without any qualifying runs. Ray
