Thank you Ken for all you do to help keep this ship afloat. The photos and comments are very much a part of each event that you go to. Keep on doing it, Thank You.
Without your website we as racers or race fans WOULD NOT have a place to see and share pictures and comments on events and stories of traveling to them. NHRA National Events are messed up and I don't think they will ever be fixed. I hope I am wrong, but just my 2 cents about what I see and hear. Again, thank you for all you do and keep on doing it please. Just so you all know, I think Divisional Events are much more sportsman friendly (no pros or stupid stuff to mess it up), therefore WAY more entertaining for me. I am a BIG stock and super stock fan, in case there was any doubt.

How many "fans" attend an all Sportsman LODRS or even an NMCA event.

Just us is the answer. There is no fan base beyond us. NHRA knows this and that's why National events besides the U.S. Nationals should be almost meaningless to the majority. The major supporters of Sportsman racing like ATI, Jegs, Summit and the others should place their eggs in the LODRS and NMCA basket and move on from the National events. Support the REAL racers.

Woodburn Drag Strip in Oregon does a great job of getting people to attend Divisional races. Last year the parking lot was packed to the brim with spectator cars. There were MANY people camped at the track for the whole 4 day event. The food is decent and the pricing for camping the whole weekend is reasonable, I understand. Firebird Raceway near Boise, Id. is another track that knows how to get people there. Reasonable prices and great food help the place fill up for an event. The New family runs a very good operation over there. Bottom line - - If you want people to attend Divisional or other events make the prices right and the food good.
