I'm really not that familiar with all of the Super Stock GT stuff.
Anybody know if it would be legal to drop in a 1997 LT1 rated at 279 hp into a 1970 442 Convertible? What class would it run? Seems like it would be pretty easy with this combo to run the index? |

You could but be advised.... the HP factor of that combo in SS/GT is 295 hp not 279. It is only 279 hp in traditional super stock.

In Super Stock, GT or conventional, there is no rule requiring the use of a rear end from the same manufacturer.
