line lock ?
I have a street/strip car. It has a brake pressure relief valve. To install a line lock, before or after the valve? Does it matter? thanks

Re: line lock ?
Are you refering to the factory installed brake distribution block/ proportioning valve usually mounted between the master cylinder and the lines to the wheels? In the past, I have installed several line lok solenoids between the master cylinder and the factory brake distribution/proportioning valve, worked fine, never had any issues. However, a number of years ago, NHRA added a condition in the rule book, that stated any brake solenoids were to be mounted AFTER the valve, before that, there was no mention of allowable locations. I have to assume, that somebody somewhere, must have had the valve stick, causing a crash or front tires not releasing, to make this an issue. So, ever since, I did the extra plumbing to mount the solenoid after the valve, but I personally never noticed any difference in how the Line Lok functioned, either way.
