Default spindle mount single piston vs med duty brakes

a lot of finish line racing in supergas.that being said -what version of front brakes seem to work best? spindle mount single piston brake setup or med duty 5 lug wheel front brakes.not trying to smoke the front tires or do anything unsafe but at 172 mph- finish line speed it just seems to not stop as quick as I would like it to. does anybody make a med duty spindle mount brake setup ? I see both setups on cars.

My super gas car weighs 2535. I switched from the spindle mount, single piston caliper to a 5 lug mount with a dual piston caliper, with Wilwood Polymatrix pads(9837K). The car stops on a dime! I drive the finishline pretty aggressive, but I've never come anywhere close to locking up the brakes. I change my pads out every season, just because it makes me feel better, but there is at least 75% left.
