You should try it sometime, it'll make you think.

Dear Mr. Bubski,
We don't know each other but it seems to me that you're out of your league debating these guys.
Listen and learn.
Respectfully,
Frank

Sure thing Frank !! I suppose debating with a guy that has a harbor freight welder and a spoke shave in his toolbox is taboo !! Mr Billy wanted another post censored like a sheep and you think thats great !! To top it off he wants someone to build something that is truly meaningless !! like money is all over n its free !! Just because the OEM's put it in there doesn't mean a thing !! PS !! I hope billy can bring a set "stock heads n intake" for u James so u can "protest the Masshole" Time to get working !!

No, money isn't "all over n its free". I just like keeping as much of mine in my pocket as I can.
You still haven't told everyone on here just what it is that you race!
Must be a Hemi car or maybe Comp? Bubski, are you a Pro? That's it! You must be a Pro!

Good morning, is the 2 bbl carb bigger for the 318 engine combo or is it the same size as the 273 engine combo? That should be the question that needs to be addressed here. Here's an example the 327/ 275 hp engine uses the same size Q-Jet as the 350/255 hp engine combo. The 327 engine would "see" the same carb as slightly bigger because of the slightly less demand the smaller cubic inches puts on the carb. Along with other important engine specs, that's something I look at as well while "brain storming " a new race combination. Just my two cents.

Henry, the 318-2V combo is pretty good. I'm just trying to instigate this guy actually DOING a combo for once instead of just TALKING about how good they are.

Isn't the 273 factored with more horsepower than the 318?

Anyone know the history on that?

Thanks!

It depends on the year and the heads. 273s are between mid 160s to mid 170s and the 318s are from high 160s to mid 180s.
