The slow car's lite should not change from green on the hit to Red after the faster car leaves. Could the tree be set so no lite, Red or Green, is shown until second car launches?
I'm not for True Start. What happens on identical red lites? Rerun, first lite looses, does the last light loose, or is the "program" set up so left lane always wins if tied at the seventh place to the right of decimal point? |

Here's a point to consider. Several years back, some friends of mine built fast cars like in A-B-C , etc. Of course the race would play out in front of them, but also they had the first red light deal in their favor. Today, it's a different story with the FX cars all over the place (8 and 9 seconds) I wonder how some of them feel about this. I'm sure we'll hear from some of them before this thread is all played out.

TruSTART was used last weekend at the Hagerstown (Stock/SS) race. I'd bet most of the racers that were there didn't even realize it!
I saw it in round two when a slower car left with a green, and after his opponent (the faster car) left, the slower car's light dropped to a red. I went and looked at my time ticket, and low and behold, TruSTART was printed right on the bottom of the ticket.

I think its fine. Doesn't matter one way or the other to me. My brother thinks its never been changed before, so why change now. He's old school. I agree with someone up above's text, Change to some is a dirty word.....

I must be missing something. FS & Pinto Wagon race and Pinto redlights. Green shows? And if they both RL both race to the line not knowing this? When is the RL "unvieled"? I'm thinking new Can O Worms.

Red light is illuminated as soon as the second car leaves so drivers can look at the scoreboard and will know that there was a red light issue.

Yup! Our local track announcer likes to compare it to a poker game. You don't know who wins until everyone shows their hand. |
