Points after race 4
United Engine and Machine AZ Stock/Super Stock Association had Race #4 presented by Advanced Automotive on Saturday night under the lights at Wild Horse Pass. We had 13 cars show up for a great night of racing. We would like to thank all of the racers for supporting the association and coming out for a late night of racing just a few days before the Salt Lake double divisional.
Here are some quick results from Saturday night: #1 Qualifier was Angelo Phillips with a .000 light. For his #1 qualifying effort, Angelo took home a Gold shine kit and duster from California Car Cover. Since Angelo was the first racer to catch a perfect light he was also the winner of the Nick Johnoff perfect light prize. Nick has given $25 to the first perfect light at each race. If no one catches a perfect light the $25 rolls to the next race. Since Angelo had the first perfect light of the season he got $100 and we will start back at $25 for race #5. Brian Pott was our winner when he beat Alex Kadar. This was the second race in a row that we have had a stick car win, and it was also Brian’s very first win. Congrats Brian! We are excited to have been a part of such a special moment. Along with the prize money, Brian gets to take home a custom fit car cover from California Car Cover and a gift certificate from Ultimate Converter while Alex received a gift certificate to Ultimate Converter for his runner-up effort. Our Semi Finalists were John McLaughlin and Rick Kolber. We also had our first heads-up class race of the season with a N/SA show down first round between Ryan Smith and Dave Muller. Dave Qualified at .427 under the 13.00 index while Ryan was qualified at .188 under. Ryan had a .080 advantage when he left with a .006 light, but could not make up the performance difference when he ran 12.934 to Dave’s 12.588. The Best losing Package awards were as follows: Rd 1 – Andy Kimball: Richardson Boyz Racing gift certificate Rd 2 – Dave Muller: Lucas Oil product Rd 3 – John McLaughlin: Gold Shine Kit and Duster from California Car Cover Rd 4 – Alex Kadar: Drag Race Solutions gift certificate Payouts for Saturday (They split in the finals and raced for points and a trophy): Brian Pott--$525 Alex Kadar--$525 John McLaughlin--$50 Rick Kolber--$50 Once again we would like to thank all of the racers and sponsors who have continued to support the association. Don’t forget to support and thank all of the sponsors who have given money and product throughout the year. We could not have the race payout and all of these great prizes without the support of these great companies. We look forward to seeing everyone at Tucson Dragway in October. |

Re: Points after race 4
I didn't realize I missed updating this section. Yes, we have a race this weekend, actually 2. The November date for Wild Horse Pass got cancelled so we are running race 5 and 6 this Saturday.
Gates open at 8am. Track is hot at 10am. We will make 2 qualifying passes for the first race. When the finals are running we will run a qualifying pass for the second race and then head straight into eliminations. I will post the race flyers shortly. |

Re: Points after race 4
FYI. United Engine had my pistons with correct dish and size for 307 Olds motor. They were great to deal with. Jeff
