What year did the NHRA first allow aftermarket heads and blocks in SS?
My Approved block won't take stock heads and the Accepted Replacement heads.I have came with valves that are too big to be legal. So, a year before any of that.

1997 Stock is where IHRA Pure Stock is today.
Can always run PS just backing off on the cam and springs. Of course have to add ear saving Mufflers and a few other minor things. Pure Stock has improved reliability from the upgraded parts and safety benefits of regular stock over the years. Plus, my company is sponsoring the IHRA Pure Stock Challenge. Ask me more ! Dan |
