Billy, I'd say your original '78 Grand prix "dime rocket" was about as close as one could get to what he stated.

I remember that car when he raced it at NY National. I absolutely loved it.

Today that motor is factored at 287 hp in stock and 300 hp in ss. The 327/275 is actually factored higher than that. Go figure.

I have to agree with Steve, but have to add Jere Stahl's 1966 Hemi 4 speed car. Hemi with a 4 speed and 7 inch slicks - Ya Hoo!
Super Stock Magazine said the 1969 Plymouth Road Runner with the 440 6 Pak (A-12) was a "Good Stocker" and proved it by building one!
