Thanks Jimmy
Glad to hear your a vette fan will have to talk vettes sometime
I will sure try to keep some updates coming

Found a 12 bolt housing I had around the shop, I will have to remove the factory brackets and install new spring pads shorten it a bit , I picked up new Ford big bearing housing ends for it, I picked up some 5.57 gears for it and found a spool I had around the shop
I just bought a core 283 long block yesterday to redo and made a deal on a metric 200 that I will have to go through and rebuild.
Long ways to go but it's a start

Which of the 283 combos are you considering? Sounds like a new Corvette coming to division 6,, I'm hoping you can make it to Missions' divisional next spring. It would be great to see the car and meet you as well. Take care and keep us posted,, I'm hoping winter won't be too hard on you all up there this year,, good luck.

Make sure you have a good thick 283 core block before you do anything to the block. The cam tunnel should be centered and the clys soniced for thickness. Some guys are sleveing down 4in blocks to get thick cly. I know they are hard to find but a 721 block from 64 chevy II are as about as good as stock block as you can find, thick cly walls strong main webbing and high nickel content. Tom

Thanks Danny
I think I am going to try the 245hp automatic dual carb combo
I am sure going to try and have it ready for spring and would like to go to Mission for sure.
I am hoping for a mild winter but at least I should be inside working to try and get this done.
Thanks for the Good Luck and would really like to meet you next year

Thanks for the much needed info , I have to get back into remembering and studying everything I need to know to build a stocker again. I Get away for a bIt and forget everything again , so I can use all the refreshing I can get
I was thinking of picking up a sonic tester possibly off ebay not sure how good they are ? But thought it might be worth owning
Thanks again
