Danny…I'm busy working all weekend also. Going to try and sneak out to Mission Saturday late in the day. Weather is forecasted as being B.C. Beautiful and HOT, so hopefully they have good fan attendance. I worked out that way on Tuesday and seen a fair amount of trailers heading there. MB.

I was there, quite warm and fairly low turnout. Not the glory days or 10 to 15 years ago with a dozen or more SS Hemis and scads of record seeking Stockers...

I didn't see the Q sheets for third pass but after second i think it was 26 Stock and 25 SS. Just three alky funny cars though, empty acreage in their pit area.

Rick McKinney was listed #1 at 1.85 under in SS/PA... he is running LA so i'd guess they will amend that. I think Jim Isherwood was #2 in SS/DA at 9.21, good to see him back out there.
Pete Kost was #1 in Stock at 1.02 under.

It is on Drag Race Central now

They show only 4 alky diggers, there were six one never even got to the burnout box, one was shut off on the line, one pair both stopped on the track and one smoked hard at the hit. Just one full pass. You expect that with those cars but first session of Super Stock was just like that too.

Yes, it's very good to see Jim out there and running very well. Pete Kost was 1.02 at the combo race at Pacific last weekend, also. Not bad for a guy who will turn 82 on his next birthday, September 4th, I believe.

Looks like a low turnout in all classes. Thanks Tom P. for the info and pictures, especially Barcelon's Nova interior shot. There is a very nice article about his Nova in the latest issue of Drag Racer magazine that is out now. (July 2015 issue)

I am not there today so we need to rely on other eyewitness reports.

You're right, Ed. That car is a work of art,, and pretty fast. Hows your car doing? Last time I saw it was at Columbus at the SS/K shootout, where you had more than your share of problems. I hope things got smoothed out for you and its going better for you.
