Default A arm front, fast bracket combination

A arm front suspension, fast bracket combination

Racers, those running a combination with A arm front suspension;
The Vega I have under construction will weigh about 2450 with driver. SBC w/aluminum heads, about 680 horse power.
This is a nice, quality build up, four link rear, dual adjustable coil over all four corners. 32 x 14 rear tire, wheelie bars.

The expected performance is 5.80’s 1/8 mile.

The front suspension is tubular A arms with rod ends located in the original Vega mounting points. I have removed all original coil spring and shock mounting brackets so there is plenty of room and mounting options for front coil over shocks.

It is my expectation that this combination will not need a large amount of front end travel. In mocking up the front shock mounting location about 4” of front travel looks good.

So, what front end travel with cars running in this performance range do some of your A arm cars have? I am looking for a nice, smooth, balanced, controlled wheelie.
