I am amazed at how many people don't think they should have good safety equipment because they may have a slower stocker. Do you think you can't get hurt because you ONLY go 80 or 90 mph. Do you think that there is never the possibility that you might get hit by the car in the other lane. It doesn't have to be a AAA stocker. An A stock 69 Camaro is going a lot faster than you are. Keep using that stock seat belt. Apparently your life isn't worth that 100 dollar five point harness. I do think the 2 year rule is ridiculous, but I'm still going to try and be as safe as I can be.

I think if we are talking about seat belts. How about window nets. 2 years are crazy on window nets too.

I signed when I saw the link posted on another site.
But, why would NHRA care? They know it's an extremely unpopular rule, to say the least. How about a street car that runs 11.49 or quicker, has the required bar and belts, and rarely gets out of the garage, let alone down a race track? |

Just bought a new set of belts last week to replace the perfectly good ones that are out of date. The pile of old seat belts in my shop is getting pretty tall. At least they are still inexpensive. I bought the G Force brand.
