A quick word about the track prep at SGMP. The track personel at the gate said the track was using VHT. I had no proplems hooking and I never heard anyone complain about the track prep. The track crew did a good job! Thanks.

After a long day of sitting in line, we finally got parked at around 4:00 pm today. Things went pretty smooth once rigs went through the gate. Looked like there was some drama going on with the order of who was pulled into the gate, but once you went in, everything was fine.

We're in a pretty good spot along the road where are the rigs went in. Grounds look pretty solid in most places, which is a plus. With the forecast for good weather, it should be race for the record books.

Only took one picture today. As you can see, Dad is busy surveying the parking situation...

More tomorrow.

The track prep at the Points race at G-ville was excellent! They were using VHT so apparently NHRA got the word! Weather and track should be very fast this year. Jim

It was nice sunny, warm (to me, I'm from PA), and dry day in Gainesville today. Pretty much an uneventful day with parking and tech going on all day.

After getting credentials today, I stopped by the MSD trailer to get a new set of plug wires for the Chieftan. Even though the MSD trailer wasn't setup yet, the MSD rep at the trailer was nice enough to make me up a new set of wires in between all his other jobs. Kudos to MSD for helping me out today.

Got to talk shop for a while with Ken Miele (we're both geeks), and met a bunch of nice guys over in the Hawk and Cook camp (thanks for the Big Stuff insight). It's always good to hit races out of the home area to hang out with old friends and meet some new ones.

Grabbed a few pics from around the pits. For Ed Fernandez, we even had a Billy sighting today...

It is COLD this morning! 41 degrees, going up to 65 by class time. Stock and super stock both have 2 runs this morning, then go into Class this afternoon. It is supposed to be sunny at least!
