I think every one can read this it shows a 350 ci 165 hp.

Rick Schilling, the truck 350 uses the same piston as 350 in camaro and malibu wagon 287hp,look under NHRA accepted products list for 1986 truck.

You are correct Tom. I was refering only to the 1986 model year.

1. ill be there for your first class race just for giggles
2. i will bet $500 the caddy outruns it and ill give you 2 races to sort it out...

Jack, I talk to Bob about this truck in U/SA, he think`s the truck would run 2.5 seconds under. Tom

With all due respect, I say closer to 3.00 under..
Takes about 375 hp to do it...
Seeing a decent 305 will make that......

You sure about that Jack? The $500 will pay for 1/2 the engine.

500 wont pay for the pistons if you want to go 2.5 under.

If you want to go 2.5 or more under with this combo you will have about 900.00 in pistons 600.00 in rings another 1500.00 in valves and springs about 500.00 in cam and lifters if you do that cheap plus all the rest, and last i checked this type of truck isn't that cheap as a core. So a decent one could be built for about 12 to 15k if you did alot of your own labor witch by todays dollars would be about the best bang for the buck out there!!
