Well It still won't run. Just put Ed Wright's MSD box in it. If that doesn't work i don't know what else it could be. If your here and have any ideas please stop by and share. Again it runs perfect in pits, water and when you deck it. No power and won't turn over 7000 9n the run.

If you run an alternator, they can cause havoc ... I assume you already changed spark plug wires ..

Well I still have a problem. Engine does sound ok now with the new box. Had MSD make up some new wires. Left at 8800 and it pulled it down to 5000. Clutch only has two turns. So we put the clutch on zero turns and well see tommorow. If that doesn't do it were out of here. Dyno time next week. I'll post more pic tonight. Ed

Ed,

Had similar problem once, the bottom of the intake manifold was just barely bottoming out on the block, and under load the car would not run.Idling and burnouts were fine. Intake manifold gaskets looked compressed. We happened to lay the intake on the motor without any gaskets and noticed the manifold sides were not touching the heads at all, milled some off bottom of the intake on the ends and problem was solved.

Ed, Thanks for the great pictures. I hope you get rid of the bad luck soon. Have you checked the fuel system? If its starving for fuel it won't carry a load, but may sound fine otherwise.
