AAA/SA? ... CC/SA? ... would it have been that difficult to just reorder the classes from A on down?

I have it on good authority that the rule will be amended again soon. As it is now, they did not even specify stock ratio or stock configuration. As open as it is right now, by the letter, we could go out and buy a set of Jesel or T&D shaft mounts in whatever ratio we wanted. After all, they bolt to a stock head.

Of course, NHRA would say "just because we did not tell you that you cannot, does not mean that you can".

I guess it is kind of cool, though. If your Stock Eliminator combination is factored at 500HP, you can run AAA/S at 3170 with driver, on a 9" slick.

I'd bet Don Fezell, wouldn't be surprised to see him get there first.

As I posted before on another thread:

Would have to be the same setup as stock, IE. shaft mount or stud. Same ratio as stock spec. IE. 1.5 etc. You guys had to know it was coming!

Trust me on this, this will be the spec. Jim

For the video deal, I kind'a saw this coming cause when I did the cam affixed to me hood in Sonoma , Danny told me to take it off cause it didn't fit with ESPN being the video rights holder. F it, I did it anyway.
Can't do that now !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well ESPN/NHRA, step up to the plate. Why don't ya'll take some footage of all the great stk/ss action yourself's and spread it around. I want to see Toby continue from the stands, don't believe he can be affected, but ya never know. Anybody want to buy a lightly used HD Pro???????????

Who dreams up this crap anyway? Seems almost laughable to even put some of this stuff in print. And even funnier that quite a few of you will actually put up with it year after year. Time for another venue and some real rules that actually mean something. You know, the kind that can't be interpreted 100 different ways depending on the incident and the competitor. Hell, how much is the budget for the tech dept? With the way this is written it shouldn't be any more than allowance for a third grader.

So are all of the super stock only cars with 6.0lbf weight breaks going to be allowed back in? I have to say that I would love to see one of the 68's cudas or darts in stock. At least that would add some additional excitement and even amidst all the unrest of NHRA's idoacy(if thats a word), seeing some of the SS only combos in Stock would be exciting.
