Rev limiters / launch
I figured either Comp or Pro Stock guys would have the best answer for this.........Super Stock guys , please answer if you use manual trans.
Mostly for the manual trans guys................what are you using for an RPM limiting device at launch? 2 step , or is there something "easier" on the engine / better to use? The point I 'm trying to get an answer for is that either they ( Pro Stock , etc ) launch at such a high RPM the engine "sounds" smoother or they are using a different device..............which is it? |

Re: Rev limiters / launch
We use a MSD 2-step on our super stock stick car. The higher the RPM's the smoother it sounds, at least on our car. 7k you here the 2-step, 8k not as much, 9k you don't hear it. Hope this helps some.

I just want to add........
it appears the digital ignitions are in fact "smoother" than the old analog........but most of you already knew that didnt you........ |
