Andew Hill,
You sound like a very seasoned veteran racer! How long you been at it? |

Its been a tough day, and I guess it pretty obvious I did not choose the right class. I probably would have been in the top 40 if I would have went to A. Oh well, no one to blame but me. I did not take into account how much the new cars would effect the bump. I would say it was 7 to 8 faster last year, but the bump went up mostly because of the new cars this year.
My troubles are nothing compared to the three guys that are broke and will probably not be racing. Larry Hill broke engine, Keith Lynch had some ignition problems that he said he could not overcome. I watch Joey Wilkes run, he started to smoke a bit by the 400 foot mark, some pieces flew out, and he oil the track a little. I think it was the engine but I could be wrong. I feel so bad for Larry, two engines in one year. The local weather calls for a little more cloud cover tomorrow not as hot, 84 for the high. Not sure it will be any quicker, but we will run at 8 am sharp for first round of class, which counts as our last qualifying shot. |
