Not a chance. No drivers anymore, just a bunch of automatons. Could race these "super" cars with remotes from the stands. Yup, I'm 60, and I miss the times of experimentation.

64 years old, and I say it will never be same again...

Like was said here, the age of experimentation is dead. Everyone wants what everyone else has....... And guys just don't think outside of the box anymore... My son (Drooze) who is 38 does, but he grew up with me telling him to stop listening to conventional wisdow and just because something used to be true, doesn't mean that it is still true.. So question everything, and decide for yourself. That is where innovation comes from.

I'm going on 67, and everything is heavier. We used to race at the North Airport here in Tulsa, 1st and 3rd Sundays. Timing "tower" was an old school buss, and like Jeff said we stopped to let private air planes take off and land.

About a week ago I attended Bob Creitz's 80th birthday party. He raced Top Fuel back when they also built their own stuff. (Creitz & Donovan and Creitz & Greer, etc.) Now they are all check book racers, like many sportsman racers.
