Goodbye To An Old Friend

This week we will load Jerry’s Challenger in a trailer for shipment to its new home. We are happy that the car will be raced again. Jerry and I worked very hard to be competitive with our competitors and have a few class wins from Indy to reward our work. I still think and chuckle about all of the things we thought of just to try and close the gap between us and our competition. Needless to say most of them are still on the shelf that don’t work or help. We knew each other’s car very well. And if the other one needed a part or something we would not sell to each other. We had to replace it or return it unharmed. Once I wanted to try a 4:43 8 3/4 Jerry had one and I broke it. To get a new one it literally cost me a set of Davis step headers. Thursday it will be on the way to a new home
