Chevy's in everything! I'm curious how the Manufactures feels about this?

I know if I were Ford or Chrysler, I wouldn't want word getting out that my car was powered by Chevrolet. Seems like a step in the wrong direction for the class to me, but I've been wrong before......plenty of times!

Looks like the class will end up being like the funny cars. All will run the same engine no matter what body. There is no part of the engines or chassis in a pro stock car that come from the factories. Same as the rest of the pro classes including Pro Mod. Maybe it will bring some diversity in the body styles again. time will tell

Remember when I told you all that Alan Johnson (T/F & FC) was going to be prepping my engines for Stock Eliminator. Well this is the beginning, first Pro Stock engines, soon it will filter down to Stock.
Can you see it now, KB motors, Gray motors, Elite motors. Lets allow Toyoto and Honda bodies with PS motors, why not. Have you heard that Mercedes & BMW are interested in PS now. Another rumor going on is that Tesla is thinking about getting into PS with a driver less car. Ron Ortiz U/SA It's the future

I guess they got tired of factoring for Ford and Mopar. Is Pro Stock bike next?, or is there more parity... I think its a shame for the class. hope it helps the cost and participation. or could this usher in Factory Stock to a new level? Last edited by Mike Jones; 12-05-2017 at 02:18 PM. |

I understand the purpose but I still don't like it. If there is no factory support other than Chevy, I think they should go ahead and allow more aftermarket manufacturers in. NHRA accepted heads and blocks only. Maybe catch the interest of a few head/block manufacturers other than OEM.

I wonder how Charlie Westcott feels about the change...
Hope it doesn't hurt his program. Mike A114 P/SA |
