Payouts are listed in National Dragster , under the event ad . Probably online also NHRA.com

It used to be posted before every National event in ND and was easy to find.
Today the CIA would have a hard time getting that info. I was curious a while ago and could not find it listed anywhere

I would be curious as to the totals for Divisionals and Nationals in 2017
High average stickers (that actually pay). (Not necessarily the Dan Fletcher model) ;-)

NHRA's portion of the payout is a whopping $1800 .
That's what I got for the Summernationals a few years ago. Contingency sponsors are dropping like flies. I made $9000 in contingency for a R/U at Virginia in '96 and barely made that for a Summer Nationals win in 2013. Mark, I have 2 Div R/U's this year . I have 13 decals that pay at divisional level and 26 at National level , as opposed to nearly 50 back in the '90's .

And not only are they dropping like flies but some that are still paying are very slow to pay. Some folks have had to chase the slow payers all year to get the money.

All one has to do is see the lack of a manufacturers midway at a National event.....
At one time all the big names were there or had reps. and product to sell. Big displays and tons of equipment..... Now it's a ghost town.....

In 2014 I had 16 paying stickers at a Divisional. Took 6 months to get paid from them all.
In 1988 I believe I had 30 or more and was way short of what was possible......that was a National.....easily could have had 40 plus at $300 per or higher for some....

I looked for that info prior to Charlotte and couldn't find it. IT used to be in dragster but haven't seen it lately. I rarely read it though.

Thanks, guys.
So ,as I thought, the payout is about 1/3 of what it was a couple of decades ago, @ 3 times the entry cost. As I've been saying since 2005, the independent S/SS events are a better option for a lot of you guys.
