NMCA is offering some great options for Stock and Super Stock racers. Take a minute to check out my story at Class Racer Magazine, and check out the www.NMCAdigital.com to see the schedule.

Great Story Evan. I plan on having my 1967 Fairlane at Bradenton next year.

I would love to race my A/S car in NMCA but by reading the 2016 rules I can't find a class that I can compete in. I can't race a Camaro in Nostalgia SS so that's out and I can't race in Stock because I won't remove my wheelie bars.
Am I missing something here?

I emailed Rollie Miller about the classes, I wanted to race my Drag Pak at the NMCA races. The factory supercar class won't work for an N/A car, no way to get to the minimum weight and we still couldn't run with a blown car. Too bad, I've run Doug's Cuda at their races and they have a great program, just not setup for NHRA class cars right now. It would be nice to have another venue to race at!

I do not remember NMCA running any Stock/SS combo races. NSS does limit the bodies that can race but NMC class is more wide open. Both classes are footbrake only, no electronics, can not even have a 2 step except on a stick car. These guys do treat you great and run a very organized race. Maybe a stock/SS combo could be in the future.

Actually I wasn't sure if they actually ran S/SS somewhere, or we just talked about it here. Pretty sure that the typical response from NHRA class racers, was..very little interest.

In 2006 when the NMCA was the NSCA Nitro Joe put on a S/SS race at National Trails at the NSCA event there. I remember it well because it was the first time I had my car out after switching to a stick.

The NMRA had a combo race at Maple Grove this year. Too bad it was the same weekend as a local Divisional race...
