Roll Call - Milan Stock-S/S Combo September 7

After all the action at Indy this week, I know there are lots of us Stock and S/S racers that are ready to racing. A number of you have already made plans to attend. This race is all about keeping Class Racing alive and having some fun doing it. With good support, there will be a series of races scheduled for 2015. Milan has already expressed interest in having Stock-S/S combo races in 2015.

Payout is based on the number of cars. $63 of your $75 entry fee goes to the payout. Winner, Runner-Up, Semis and Quarter Finals will be paid.

We will run off a qualified ladder. Since we are not weighing cars, there will be no heads up runs. And since there is no AHFS monitoring here – you can let it all hang out too! We will run off IHRA indexes – that makes it simple since we are running both Association classes.

Gates open at 9:00 am with the first of 2 qualifying runs at 10:00 am.

There are a couple of Racers that asked about getting into the track on Satrday to camp out. The staff and Milan is good with that - just let them know that you are there for the Sunday Combo race and they will park you down past the ET shack. Milan is running its "No ET" grudge race on Saturday. For those that have seen this type of racing it can be very "entertaining". These guys will be out of there for the Sunday race at which point you can move your rig down into the pits.

For those that have not been to Milan, there is a large asphalt pad near the finish line that makes for a nice clean pit area.

Stock-S/S Combo Racer Info

•Pit parking – if there is room try to park on the large asphalt pad near the finish line. There should be plenty of parking closer to the starting line if you like.

•Tech – Milan Staff will perform safety tech. Tech line forms about 300 yards past the entry gate

•Race fuel – Rock’s Pit Stop sells VP fuel in 5 gallon containers. BUT - no C-11

•Run Order – Listen for the Stock-S/S Combo call. Milan broadcasts on 91.1 FM

•Qualifying Runs – There will be 2 runs. IHRA indexes will be used. Be ready to run at 10:00 am - Milan is good about starting on time.

•Round Pairing – Run pairings will be on a Sportsman Ladder. We will have someone advise you of the first round pairings before the first round is called. Please help with getting the cars ready to run by looking for you partner when you enter the staging lanes. There will be a person at the head of staging to help with the pairings

•Not able to make first round – please let Mike Delahanty 248-821-3951 or John Nechiporchik 734-355-1107

•Lane choice – work that out with your competitor

•Dial Ins – Must be visible from the Drivers side of the car – side window, left front or left rear window works

•There will be no heads up runs

•Cars will not be weighed

•No fuel check

•Payout – Quarter, Semi and Winner & Runner Up will be paid. Payouts are dispersed on the second floor of the tower
