I need help interpreting the rule book. On a fox body Mustang can you use a 2"cowl hood instead of a forward facing hood scoop?

I think the 5" rule applies only to forward facing opening. It's an old rule that was carried over from when it was part of modified eliminator.

that rule no longer applies. you can use any scoop opening. rule was changed this year.
