I see where they have a new track manager and are NHRA sactioned again. It would be great to see them with a Division race again.

We all want Thunder Road to be a successful track. Hopefully, Steve is the man who can make this happen. It's a first class facility, it just needs first class management. Our local track in Monroe has changed management and last weekend they had 150 cars on Friday for TT and 171 cars/1400 fans on Saturday for the bracket race. Cars as far away as New Orleans(300 miles or so) came. Some may have come further I am told they made a 9 hour drive. The race was billed as the Louisiana State Champtionship but the week before they had 100plus cars on Friday and about 125 on Saturday.
Thunder Road/Red River has never had first class management and has suffered with their weekly program but the racers are out there and will come if everything is run correctly.
Does anyone know if they plan to run eight mile or quarter?

I looked at the Facebook site pictures, the facility looks great. I wish we had a track like that in the Mpls., Mn area. Dyno

Richard, not a true statement about management. I know the people who built it. If you have a race there it would always rain. When I say rain 18" in pits. They did everything they could. IHRA or NHRA. The last last NHRA race there was great. The peoples who owns it now was misinformed on how to run a track and grind a track. We had an IHRA race the and it was bad. The owners gave "Everyone`s money back.
Steve will be good for this track. My hope is NHRA will have a points meet there. T
he last time they did, I catered a party and everyone who wanted to eat did.
Thunder Road Good Luck

That would definitely be nice. Only four hours from Baton Rouge. I don't see any NHRA races scheduled.
