Default Sports nationals no camping

I was going to attend the sports nationals as a spectator planed on taking the motorhome for the weekend. Called the track to iquire about camping they told me if i wasn,t a participant it wasn,t allowed. Must be they don,t need my money.

if you're talking about Columbus.......there is a campground right next door.....I don't believe spectators have ever been able to park on the grounds, unless you "know" someone.

I have been to a couple events (not drag racing) and I ran into the same problems. So it is not only drag racing. But I think the real problems is a result of new restrictions by the insurance carrier for the business. They will only cover a paying customer of the event. I even had one event where my name had to be on the gate receipt to show that I had signed in at the meet. It seems our carriers doesnt care if the track makes money, but they want to stipulate how he does it. Just great isnt it.

Some local ordinances try to designate racetracks as "campgrounds" if they allow that, which comes with all sorts of additional taxes and regulations. It was a battle the track was going through when I worked at Quaker City.
