My wife and I went to the Dutch on Friday and we had a great time. Other than freezing our butts off, it was a blast. We met some super nice folks and finally got to put some faces with some names. Thanks to everyone that took the time to talk to us, we really appreciated it.
Special thanks to George Mirza for for bringing me a set of tires. Thanks a bunch for that man. J.C. Childress |

You must really enjoy "track cleanup". I have never been to an event that had so much "downtime" for sweeping, dragging, spraying, mopping and blowing as this event.

It's kinda like the 60's.If you weren't there you wouldn't understand.I had the crappiest
1st rd loss ever and still I had a great time.Met some new people.Saw the same fimiliar faces and helped a friend going a few rounds. To all the know it alls who weren't there and can only bitch and moan about everything, race a little more and tap the keys a little less. And kick your cat some more to relieve the frustration.

Dave and Ed, I will second that with both of you, I met some great people this weekend and enjoyed every minute of it. The racing was exiting also and we also lost first round of class and first round on Saturday but that did not matter. Dave congrats on the new record, your car impressed me also. Joe Fasano.

Agree, drove down with 3 friends and we all had a great time.
Weather was great going up to 71 on Sunday. Only thing cold was the brewski at the end of race days... Nice to talk to George M, Don F, Tony to name a few. Good to see J Bender back in action. SANTA made it as well, and got a request from a famous track reporter present at the Dutch for lots of engine parts for his 2 cars.... Have no problem waiting for track prep to make it sticky and safe... Hope I stay healthy enough to return next year. MB |
