Charlie ran 8.290 !! at over 162 in the 1st round. If he hooks he should do well. Don't recall any AH car going that fast before but I could be wrong.

Live Timing shows Hebert beating Bales in round 1. But Bales was back for round 2 vs Daniels. I'm guessing Hebert was DQ'd for fuel or weight?

From Maple Grove's Facebook feed:

"Don Bale is reinstated after Stephen Herbert is DQd with a wrong carburetor."

His name is HEBERT

Man that drives me nuts.......

They didn't like the carbs, so we are going home. Too bad, Hebert vs. Daniels wouldve been a good race! But congrats to Bales for a much-improved showing!

Well, Charlie just blew the tires off....too bad; would have made quite a race. Daniels runs Gary Wolkwitz for the money.

Ben, Some people just go to hell with pronunciation. Good showing by the Spyphish. Have not seen Steve's car in person but have been told the car is gorgeous. Good luck to you and Steve in the future---------John

You aren't wrong; that is the fastest run ever by an AH car, but not the quickest ever. Actually Charlie's 161.40 yesterday was the fastest run until todays 162+. Charlie always makes serious horsepower!

Hopefully they will both show again at Valdosta for the National Open the end of November. Last year they put on a good show, along with Johnson's Ford, Oake's Camaro and others.
