Default What happened first round?

P Biondo SS/DM 1
R Linke SS/JA 1124 - Bye

These two were paired but it said Bye instead of showing a winner - then neither one showed for second round. Anyone know what happened? Almost looks like neither one showed for first round.

thats interesting. doesn't the rule book say that a racer must stage to be the winner? 2 years ago at the gators a racer left before the tree on a bye run and was still awarded the win

The 2006 Rulebook says:
"In situations where a driver is making a single run, he or she is considered the winner once he or she stages and receives the start signal or is declared the winner by the official starter."

I'd assume the 2007 Rulebook says the same thing but I don't have a 2007 Rulebook near me right now.

The part of the rule that says "and receives the start signal" is why there was no winner. Linke left before the tree was activated.

Peter never went to the starting line. Car was broke before first round. THat's what threw me. I thought if he was sitting there and broke he woulda got the win. So how bad is your day when you get a bye run and you leave before the tree is activated......

Heck of a lesson to learn there.
