Last weekend in Martin it seemed like nearly everyone I talked to was upset with the timing system. If anyone ran into trouble, lets hear it. I am not starting this topic for everyone to piss and moan about the track, rather to shine a light on the problems we had last weekend. I'll make sure Skooter is aware of the topic and I'm sure he will be interested to hear our input.
During time trials Saturday the tree seemed forever to come on, then first round the tree came down about .5 after I staged. I got it on camera. Sunday I had no problem on either of my TWO passes ![]()

The rollout and the tree were weird. The past 6 years there my car was noticebly slower reacting in the right than the left lane. This time it was the other way around. The right seemed even tighter than the left, not that it wasn't tight in both lanes. But it was like they musta put the beams on the ground. It was hard to stage without deep staging and then it was unbelievebly tight. Hows about a -.037 red in time runs when I felt good about where you let it go?!!! And to add fuel to the screwyness, every time I pull up to light the pre stage bulb in the right lane, before you were anywhere near it, it would flicker on and off once. I saw it do it three different occasions. And others said they saw that too! Its like the beams were so low that debris or whatever would blow thru them and flicker the beams. Oh and my second round redlight on sunday, Theres no way that would have been better than a .020 light anywhere else I've been this year. NO WAY! But it still may have been a blessing after the steering arm broke. Good thing I shut off on redlights... Course thats what you get with TSI timing equipment. I have a few people I know who absolutely will not go anywhere that uses TSI at their track! Shame that any track close to me uses that crap..

It SUCKED just like at Thompson. I went to the tower and they said 1.4 to 1.425 after the last car staged the tree was to go. I didnt think that the time runs were long trees on my runs, but i can tell you i didnt get the car up to 2200 before i let go of the button first round and that will throw the whole run off. i will be thinking long and hard about going to Byron. l guess i will have to start lookin to see which HRA i am at.

Had the pre stage lite "blink" on 2 seperate runs was no where near the beam. E.T. clocks seemed right but I doubt I went 167 MPH. Very tight both lanes. Joe

TSI equipment does blow. Lets see out of the trailer in Q/R I was .003 And ran 8.9003 tree was a little long. S/R I was .006 and ran 9.92 something. Second time run I was .00 and .91's in both. First round the tree came down before I was up to 2500 rpmLets just say you cant win with a .140 light. I did go 3 rounds In S/R With the 60 Foots going from 1.540 to 1.599. Day two first round had .020 in Q/R and .013 in S/R second round had a .120 light in Q/R them I went .028 Red in S/R. My question is why not fix it if they knew it was bad. Byron will be better Ron & BJ will make sure of that.
