So how is everyone doing thru the ice storm? We have been without power since Tuesday about noon. It took Larry all that afternoon to get our generator on our service truck hooked up to the house. So we have heat, water and everything we need. We just don't run a lot of things at once. It is burning about 40 gallons of diesel fuel per day. We have enough diesel for another few days. There are 595,000 people in KY without power. There are 21,000 people in our county without power and there are 21,000 people in our county. No one has power. The service stations have gas but no power to pump it.
Last night we had 15 people here. Today Chris's wife took their girls and went to her parents in Nashville, where they are staying until the power is back on. They are saying that it may be 3 weeks before we have power back. My mom and 2 of my sisters and their families are staying here, so they went back to their houses and cleaned out refrigerators and freezers and brought everything back here. Hopefully everybody is doing ok. We will post more later. Patsy & Larry |

Patsy, pretty rough around here, too. About 30 miles south in Sikeston, there are lots of trees and power lines down. only about 6 or 8 businesses are open, our dealership being one of them. No internet for 1-2 weeks, 12,000 without power for up to 2 weeks, no running water, etc. The trees look like giant, ice covered mushrooms.
I live in Cape, just north of the worst ice storm i've ever seen..... Wade |

Well,
We were without power for a total of 6 hrs. A big thanks to Harrison Co. REMC and especially one board member by the name of David Walther. Still no cell service and HS internet is touch and go. Fore cast is for another 5-6 inches of Snow first part fo the week. I haven't been to work since Tuesday. Wife works for school system so she's off until at least Monday, maybe longer. I'm starting to get cabin fever. |

Here near Mt Vernon IL we just got the snow and very little ice. Our state and county roads are good but township roads are terrible. We got the Ice last year and I know what you guys are up against hopefully you all will get power back sooner than expected.
