In Div 3 they usually tech Thursday afternoon and all day Friday but Fri seems to be rather busy. When you go to the NHRA trailer you will get a schedule and all the decals you have to run. Getting there Thursday you can get all that out of the way and test and tune (usually about $100.) Or just go visiting with your cooler on the back of the golf cart! Myself I usually do the latter.........And there's always the people parked next to you that will always help ya out. Good luck......

Some of the nicest people I have met, I met at either a divisional race or a national event. Although I have met some good people bracket racing, there just seems to be something about the people who have stepped up to the next level.

Love the folks at the divisional and national event races....Like Bailey said, there are some really good people at the bracket events, but you don't have the riff raff at the "biggs"
As far as schedules, many times S/C is the first class to get moved when the track is running behind! Welcome aboard!

B Chillik
, Welcome to D3, tons of great folks. Although, You will not beleive how hard it is to win a round in S/C. Go to NHRA and read the stats as they talk about the huge accomplishment of Shawn Langdon's repeat championship. I have been a huge race fan my whole life. Started racing at 17 lasted until I got married (First Time/Last Mistake) 20 years later divorced and dabled my way back in. Brackets, S/ST, S/G and then S/C. BFD means, Big Fat Difference. No matter how hard I tried to creap back in each class got tougher and tougher. So of coarse this winter I bought a Top Dragster that I want to start running some time this year. Not sure if I am a dumb ***, glutant for punnishment or both. My point is, dont get discuraged to quickly, or be to hard on yourself. If you have early success, dont get cocky, its rough out there! Just cut an .00? light, go 8.9? and watch the stipe at 160ish. Its so easy a cave man can do it! Best of Luck (You'll need that) be safe. Jeff

Hey Mr Chillik......... welcome to the toughest NHRA racing under the sun....... the SUPER CLASSES........ I've done a lot of different kinds of drag racing over the last 30+ years and have found the racing in S/G and S/C to really be the most competitive.......
Jeff Beckman has given you the best advice for running in these classes....... do not get discouraged when you're down...... and don't get cocky when you're up...... you will meet a lot of great people in these classes and have a lot of fun........ In D1, most races and schedules are post on the divisional site, but if not just go to the track site and everything will be posted there...... In D1, I always check the track sites as parking and tech times may differ from NHRA......... OH!!!!........ and while racing in D3........ feel free to stay away from that Bailey guy....... he'll get into something stupid at every race........ Say Hi to your Dad for me Rick........ LOL |

No Mr Chillik........ that message was for Rick Bailey........ I've run against the Bailey's in Comp for a few years and found them to be a great family and very competitive.........
