Congratulations are in order for Brian Radley who was deadly consistant all day long cutting near perfect .001 lights and running mere thousandths off his dial in. Runner up who is no slouch of a driver was Mike Pearson.
On top of those winners we also had Ted Simpson with his beautiful 56 Chevy win a Best Appearing award and a Jax Wax kit. Scott Healms with his Impala won the Super Chevy Magazine's Editors Choice award for his clean car. Woodro Josey collected a Best Engineered award and low qualifier money in the stock category. Tina Summerton collected the money for super stock. There were also awrds given for best package each round, but I'll have to get the final count on who got what, but lets just say Brian Radley collected his fair share of the goods! Congrats to everyone that won something, and thanks to all who came out and supported us either by racing or spectating. We stole the show!

Congratulations to Brian Radley on a great win at the first Nitro Plate S/SS Shoot out. He had a great run the final round. .011 Rt and dead on the dial with a .003. Sure didnt leave me much room. I really enjoyed the race. The Super Chevy, Gainsville Raceway and the SSSSA crews did a fantastic job all weekend. I want to thank Chris and the rest of the Nitro Plate group for sponsoring the event and working hard to line up all of the different sponsorships for the race. There were lots of give a ways for all kinds of different winners. Hopefull Jim Woods will list all of the different winners of the contingency prizes. Nitro Plate had some really awsome plaques made up for the winner and R/U. I was lucky enough to recieve the one for R/U. Once again thanks to everyone that helped to put this race together.

Hey everybody....I just to say a BIG THANKS to everyone that came to race and to just hang out. Jim Woods and Jim Wahl have a good thing going (SSSSA) and it is only going to get bigger. I had the time of my life, except for first round. But at least I still have my job! (thanks Kevin) The weather was iffy but it worked out for us.
The 2nd Annual Nitroplate/ SSSSA Shootout will be bigger and better!! |
