Default IHRA Proam versus national event for daughter

My 12 going on 13 year old daughter will be away this summer at camp 6/20, so my options are:

Presidents Cup 490 mile tow or so, class racing(my new to me CT/SA truck won class at Budds Creek Last Sept)

Or

The pro-am at piedmont, 750 mile tow, but a mere 37 miles from the folks in Carrboro.....

Which would be a better experience for the next generation to play pit chief with dad and his new toy?

RV versus Hotel room? I wouldn't use the RV to tow with, just sleep.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
